Consumer dating platform in production · Django, JavaScript, HTMX, WebSockets, PostgreSQL, AWS S3, Docker

Built an A/B testing system end to end: live user split by variant, tracking of conversion, behaviour, cancellations and revenue per group, and reports the team can actually read.
Shipped a reported-image control using SHA-256 and perceptual hashing to catch repeat uploads and flag suspicious profiles.
Built Ghost Mode, an internal survey manager and the support helpdesk workflow inside an existing codebase.
Work across backend, frontend, data models, testing, deployment and production troubleshooting. English at work, every day.

What that A/B system taught me

I tested giving the location filter away for free, expecting an easy win. Engagement went up and revenue went down. The test did not just pick a winner, it proved the filter was something people would pay for instead of a nice to have. Happy users and a healthy business are two different metrics.

One shared release pipeline across the mobile catalogue: EAS cloud builds, versioned store assets, in-app legal pages mirrored on the web.
Product decisions included: what to build, what to cut, what to monetize and when a product is not worth finishing.

Audit, accounting and finance

2006 · 2024

Controller and Head of Accounting at GL Events Chile, and before that roles at Bupa, Edelcta, CMPC, Unilever, PDVSA Industrial, UHY International and KPMG, where I started as an auditor. I built a finance team from scratch, wrote its procedures, ran ERP migrations and reported to people who only cared about the number at the end. That is the part that does not show up in a git history and shows up in every technical decision.

How I build

Coding agents, used the way a lead uses a team

Sixteen products in twelve months next to a full-time job only works with agents in the loop. It works because of how I use them, not because they write code while I look away.

01Plan first

Architecture, scope and data model are decided before a single line is generated. The agent implements a plan, it does not invent one.

02Small diffs

One change at a time, reviewed line by line. A diff I cannot explain does not get merged, no matter how well it runs.

03I own the result

If it breaks in production it is mine. I read what ships, I debug it myself and I can defend every decision in a review.

04In production, not just in my editor

The Claude API runs inside Hallazgo's publishing pipeline, MCP servers and headless automation handle the repetitive parts, and CI on EAS and Vercel ships the rest.
